For the love of ink.
My name is Alex Gradecki, and I’ve called Seattle home since 2019. Before founding Psychopomp Press, I spent years working deep inside the corporate world, watching from the inside as organizations with mammoth money and enormous profits cared so little for the PEOPLE who made their companies. I saw people burn out, people grow afraid, and people quietly replaced by systems that valued efficiency over expression. That experience made one truth impossible to ignore: creative communities are needed now more than ever.
I started Psychopomp Press to build the kind of space I wished existed — a human‑first studio where art is protected from the same corporate decay I witnessed firsthand. This is a place where people can create the beauty they want to see in the world, without fear, without gatekeeping, and without being treated as expendable. Psychopomp Press stands openly and unapologetically with LGBTQIA+ people, with oppressed peoples everywhere and for anyone seeking a safe, affirming environment to make meaningful work.
This studio exists because humanity matters — and art is one of the last places where that truth can still be felt.
